As you've probably guessed from reading all of the above, I'm a programmer and I love it ;) |

I've been IRC'ing for almost 4 years now (since 2006). And I've known a fair amount of people in all these years...the network that I'm mostly active is Undernet and you can find me in channels #beginner and #translate. I'm also active in Freenode, but mostly I come to Freenode to help others in #ubuntu and other such help channels. |

If you haven't skipped the 'Background' section :P , you'd know that I'm really a programmer. But I'm also a self-proclaimed artist ;) I love to tinker with graphics software and make some nice things in it. I like making banners, logo's, wallpapers and stuff's, just for fun ;) Well, whaddya know...this programmer has a creative side too hehe ;) |

Ubuntu is an awesome project. It's still labeled as a distro for new beginners and advanced users alike. The progress that Ubuntu has done in such a short time is remarkable and I've never seen a Linux distro become so popular with the 'non-techie' crowd. As for the future idea's. I agree that the usability of a distro matters the most; But a wise-word...too much 'usability' can hinder a project. There should be a balance between usability and productivity. It's not always necessary that usability provides productivity. That is, it's not really necessary to make the project too much 'user-friendly' for the new people; You shouldn't forget the oldies ya know ;) |
|

But that was for the future :P as uptill now, the balance is still there and I'd just say, keep it up! :) That's just my 0.5$ :) |
* I would love to organize more events related to Ubuntu and FOSS. * Helping on the forums and IRC has always been a great experience and also it's fun, so I'd continue doing that as long as I can. * Programming is my favorite pastime and in the future, I would love to take some time off and help existing projects. |

I am currently a student, pursuing BCA (Bachelor Of Computer Applications) from Indraprastha University, Delhi. I've been using Linux since 2005, but started using it seriously since 2006. My first 'serious' Linux distro was (of course) Ubuntu. I am a pure techie and I love helping out other people; I always try my best to solve people's problems (tech related of course). As a student of computers, I know several programming languages; I'm well equipped with: C/C++, Perl, PHP and Bash. Other languages (that I'm not an expert of, but I can say that I know them) are: Java and Python.
I'm also a web developer/designer and I know a fair amount of HTML and CSS.
