At the moment, I'm finishing off my final year of Bachelor of Science (Software Systems) at the University of Melbourne. I've been using Linux since I was introduced to Red Hat in mid-2000. I then switched to Slackware for a while, then Debian, and finally Ubuntu (in January 2005). I've not left Ubuntu since. On 2006/09/06 I became an Ubuntu Member, and on 2006/09/24 a [[MOTU]]. Around the release of Ubuntu 5.10, YukiCuss and I started the AustralianTeam. It consists at the moment of about 60 Australian Ubuntu users who wish to help spread the word, and is still growing. I currently manage the web/email hosting for the team.

Ubuntu Involvement

I've been fairly active in the Ubuntu community since I joined it in early 2005. My contributions include:

  • Starting the Ubuntu AustralianTeam.

  • Managing the web hosting for the AustralianTeam.

  • Regular bug triage throughout Malone.
  • Updating/correcting/beautifying pages on the Ubuntu Wiki.
  • Merging and requesting syncs during Edgy development.
  • Doing a lot of general MOTU work.
  • X stuff.
