I am applying to DKMS application rights because I am part of the Ubuntu kernel dev team. My work includes FTBFS fixes for the various DKMS packages hereby I would like to sponsor these fixes independently in order to reduce wait time and burden on other uploaders.

Who am I

I work as a Kernel Engineer in the KernelTeamUbuntu Kernel Team at Canonical since 2011. My main focus area is UNIX OS, embedded systems and system architecture.

I received a Master degree in Computer Science at the University of Milan, Italy on 2003. I have contributed to many open-source projects, in particular FreeBSD and the Linux kernel.

My primary focus has been getting new upstream kernel versions into Ubuntu, fixing up packages impacted by these kernel updates. I am also involved in bug fixes for stable series kernels and uploading kernel SRUs.

Things I could do better

My overall packaging experience is almost entirely with kernel or kernel-adjacent packages. I would like to extend my knowledge to a more diverse types of package.
