  • Correct screen resolution not working out-of-box

  • Sound: Headphone & Mic jacks not properly recognized by ALSA, speakers not muted when headphones are plugged into the headphone jack

  • Wireless networking not working out-of-box (probably not in the near future, Broadcom 4310 seems to be troublesome)

  • Hotkeys not working out-of-box (can be mapped manually with System > Keyboard Shortcuts > Sound)

  • Installation: boot options 'noapic' and 'nolapic'
  • Infrared NIC: only working with the laptop's remote control
  • Play/Pause key: only pause, does not play

  • Installation: boot options 'noapic' and 'nolapic'
  • Sleep: the machine goes to sleep, the sleep light comes on, it wakes up on a key press, but the screen is just blank and the keyboard is not working (for example caps and num lock)

  • Wireless NIC: the Broadcom 4310 network card requires firmware, one possibility is to use ndiswrapper 1.38, see [https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/Device/Broadcom_BCM4311_rev_01_%28ndiswrapper%29?highlight=dv9074ea WifiDocs/Device/Broadcom BCM4311 rev 01 (ndiswrapper)]

  • Infrared NIC: only working with the laptop's remote control
  • Web cam: Ekiga does not find the web cam, nor does XSane
  • Multimedia key 'Volume Mute': does mute and unmute, but doesn't change color between red and blue according to status
  • Play/Pause key: only pause, does not play
